I am an IT Manager and Network Engineer with more than 22 years of experience leading and supporting the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise IT networks. My technical expertise includes engineering virtual servers and NOC environments, with a focus on delivering and supporting new large-scale VMware and Azure infrastructures. My management expertise includes creating an IT Department for a growing company including all processes, standards, workflows between departments and managing IT team. I lead in all aspects of system engineering, development, and administration processes, including procuring, configuring, and launching new technologies to production environments. Some of my professional experience as a Network Engineer includes:

 

  • Designed, implemented, and documented complete system-wide virtualizations and migrations to off-site NOCs from physical servers to VMware and Azure environments; led all phases of projects for multiple clients and configurations.

 

  • Complete email system migrations for numerous companies to Office 365 cloud-based email with 100% uptimes.

  • Responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the IT Infrastructure and processes within 8 locations Nationwide.

  • Installation and support of LAN/WAN, server-based software, installing/upgrading server/product migration plans, maintaining vendor relationships, and troubleshooting problems.

  • Create processes, procedures, and protocols to uphold the security, structure, and integrity of networks and systems.

  • Created the IT department for a growing company along with hiring and training helpdesk staff. Develop ticketing system, SLA timelines and regular inter-departmental communications.

  • Create yearly budget for department. During this process I reduced the cost of cloud Azure servers by 33% annually, the cost of server maintenance by 50% annually and implemented many time saving forms, workflows and procedures.

  • Designed and implemented a comprehensive testing solution utilizing 150 Microsoft Forms and equal number of Power Automate flows, significantly enhancing the assessment process. This solution captures intricate data such as test completion time and uses complex mathematical equations for real-time pass/fail evaluation.

  • Developed custom Power BI reports to provide in-depth analysis and visualization of testing data, facilitating actionable insights and enabling data-driven decision-making across departments.

  • Automated over 25 daily operational tasks, achieving substantial time and cost savings for the organization. Key automations include streamlined tracking of outbound and inbound shipments, secure data collection through new customer forms, and accurate discount calculations.

  • Innovated an automated process for software key code distribution, triggered upon customer agreement signature, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.

  • Setup two factor authentication for M365 use and Single Sign On for OpenVPN server.
